Project_Erdung is an experimental music video format created for the musician Erdung, who is known for his improvised analogue synthesiser sets. Unlike traditional music videos, which rely on fixed structures, synchronised cuts and lyrical cues, this artist performs live without any of these reference points. His deeply analogue and formless music challenges conventional structures. Static visuals cannot convey this dynamism. Rather than capturing a single performance, a system was built to reflect the raw and evolving nature of his music. Sounds were classified and paired with corresponding visuals. Every 16 bars, new combinations emerge at random, generating 169,000 possible variations. Rather than presenting a finished video, the project creates a generative 3D environment accessible through any browser in real time. This project was developed during the fourth semester of MdRV.
