re/ is a speculative design project that reflects on the structures of digital surveillance and data extraction. At its core is re/set, an open-source tool that visualizes digital presence and exposes how personal data is collected and reused. The tool offers a way to take back control in systems that usually stay hidden. Your privacy functions as currency and everyday interactions generate data that is harvested, traded, and fed into algorithmic models. By scanning the digital footprint in real time and making data flows visible, re/set lets users decide what remains, what is removed, and what is erased entirely. Through this shift from unknowing participation to informed awareness, re/ highlights the normalization of surveillance and shows how deeply personal data is woven into contemporary digital environments. This project was developed during the fifth semester of MdRV.
