Zeitschnitt is a visual system for displaying time that does not use conventional clock hands. This dynamic system is defined by rules that create forms to read the time. The hours and minutes correspond to rotating points on circles of different sizes. Each of these points forms a triangle with the two closest points at 3, 6, 9 and 12 on a third circle. One edge of each triangle is rounded using quadratic interpolation, giving the triangles a direction in which to point. The resulting shapes were used to create branding for an associated fictional watch brand and its products. This project was developed during the fourth semester of MdRV.
